Santa Claus’ Village, Rovaniemi, Finland The post office at Santa Claus’ Village receives about 700,000 letters for Santa  every Christmas from almost 200 countries. Through the years Santa has received eight million letters here! If you want to deliver yours personally this year you will find Santa's home located just 2km from the international airport of Rovaniemi in Lapland.

This is Santa’s home.  Santa can't live on the North Pole all the time because there isn't anything for his reindeer to eat there. In Finnish Lapland there is plenty of food for them.  The reindeer are very common here, there are about 200,000 reindeer in Finland.

Lapland is very beautiful and on a winter’s night you can see the northern lights (Aurora borealis). In Hotel & Igloo Village (Kakslauttanen) you can stay in a glass igloo where you may see the northern lights from your own bed.

It is a wonderful place for many kind of activities: hiking, paddling, fishing, snowmobile safaris, reindeer safaris, husky safaris etc. You will also find many interesting attractions there including: the world’s biggest snowcastle, the Gold Prospector Museum and an arctic centre called Arktikum

Lapland is full of interesting accommodation possibilities: igloos, cottages, log cabins, hotels, hostels, bungalows etc.
