For the second year running, the best artists in the national and international stage move to the Recinto Ferial, Caravaca de la Cruz in Murcia to take part in an MTV concert.  This free event takes place on Saturday 10 July from 9.30pm. Mika is headlinling the concert supported by Madrid band Pignoise, Hercules and the Love Affair, The Leadings and DJ Amable.

The Recinto Ferial has the capacity to hold 25,000 people however given Mika's popularity it is advisable to arrive early to be sure to get in.  Parking may also be a problem so be prepared to walk a little as you may not be able to get a space nearby. The event will be broadcast as one of the "MTV World Stage" programs to over 40 countries

The artists:

Mika, whose voice has often been compared to that of Freddie Mercury, began work as an opera singer and jingles writer in London.  His first attempts at writing his own songs were rejected by the main music producers so he put them on My Space where he quickly achieved an international following.  His single Grace Kelly was number one in the UK for 5 weeks. His album ‘Life in cartoon motion’ (2007) was another huge success.

Pignoise will present their more recent work, 'Year Zero', its sixth album.  The trio from Madrid have become one of the most important bands in the Spanish pop scene, you have to see them!

The murcianos The Leadings will add the "home grown" flavour to the evening. The quartet will present its debut album at this concert.

Hercules and Love Affair comprises of Andy Butler, Kim Ann Foxman and Nomi. Their music, born in the ghettos of New York revives the spirit of disco and house.

DJ Amable will close the night. Known for his appearance on Razzmatazz/BCN he is without a doubt one of indie music icons in Spain.
