- 1 1/2 Litres cranberry juice
- 100g sugar
- 60ml lemon juice
- 500ml water
- 3 x 2.5cm strips lemon peel 7.5cm cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 15cm square piece cotton cheesecloth
- 90ml rum
- Combine cranberry juice, sugar, lemon juice, and water in a large saucepan
- Tie lemon peel, cinnamon, and cloves in cheesecloth. Add this spice bag to saucepan. Bring just to boiling point, reduce heat and simmer covered, for 10 minutes.
- Discard spice bag. Add rum and serve.
