A new watch. Perhaps something a bit more grown up and functional. What about one that is waterproof to 3 metres or shock resistant.
An alarm clock. You can get alarm clocks these days that you turn off by throwing them at the wall, or ones that display the time on the ceiling at the touch of a button or perhaps just a nice loud one that will manage to wake them up for school/college every morning.
Sample sizes of perfume or aftershave may be appreciated once they start caring about what they look (and smell) like.
