Halloween can be great fun and can provide some great memories for your and your child. To make sure it stays fun here are some tips to keep your little goblins safe.
Always make sure there is a supervisory adult accompanying the children Make sure there are enough torches to make sure no-one falls into a ditch If they are going on any roads wearing dark costumes use reflective tape to make sure they are seen. Make sure the costume is flame retardant in case they come across any real Jack O’Lanterns Make sure the costume isn’t so long that they will trip over it If your child is wearing a mask make sure that the eye holes are large enough to provide him/her with good visibility, better still use face paint.
Finally, when your child returns inspect all the sweets/treats. Throw out anything that is unwrapped or appears to have been tampered with or treats homemade. Look at fresh fruit for cuts or holes and wash, peel, and cut it up before you serve it to your child.
